Paulo Lobo was born in Baixa da Banheira, Portugal, in 1964. At the age of six, his parents emigrated to Luxembourg. At a very young age, he became passionate about photography and trained in this art as an autodidact and through several workshops, notably with Bernard Plossu and Jonns Fregence.
He has held several solo and group exhibitions, including: Ó gente da minha Terra (Instituto Camões Luxembourg, 2003); Fado, le vertige de lâme (Centre des Arts pluriels, Ettelbruck, 2006); Terra de Vida (Kulturfabrik, Esch / Alzette, 2006);Coffee Talks (Instituto Camões Luxembourg, 2010); La face chachée des mots (Cdmh Dudelange, 2012); Última estação: Esperança (Instituto Camões Luxembourg, 2013).
Since 2005, Paulo Lobo has a blog titled “voyages en suspens”, with various writings on culture, photography, cinema (http://paulolobo.blogspot.com).
Since 2007, he is journalist and photo reporter for the “Wunnen” architecture magazine.
Since 2013, he is a member of Street Photography Luxembourg.
